RADCLIFFE DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, in association with Exeter College
Applications are invited for the Field Marshal Earl Alexander Professorship of Cardiovascular Medicine, to start as soon as possible. The post is endowed and supported by the British Heart Foundation and associated with a Fellowship at Exeter College.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding international senior investigator with a proven record of success in the field of Cardiovascular Medicine. He/she will ensure the further development of cardiovascular medicine in Oxford, so that the University continues at the forefront of research, and will contribute to sustain the environment of academic excellence within the department.
The professorship is a full-time clinical academic post and must be held in conjunction with an honorary (non-stipendiary) contract with the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. Applicants must be medically qualified and the appointee must also be a Member, or Fellow, of the Royal College of Physicians.
The appointee will join a thriving Division within the Radcliffe Department of Medicine which excelled in the 2008 RAE and which is committed to undertake research which impacts on clinical practice, and a college which offers a distinctive, friendly and supportive atmosphere.
