DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOLOGY in association with Hertford College
Grade 10a: £43,312 – £58,157 p.a.
Applications are invited for a University Lecturership in Pharmacology in association with a Tutorial Fellowship at Hertford College. The postholder will be expected to conduct an independent research programme in any area of pharmacology, and to be capable of attracting significant external research funding. Applications will be particularly welcome from individuals with a research interest that includes some aspect of cardiac ion channel pharmacology/cardiac calcium signalling. The successful applicant will also organise and deliver teaching to pre-clinical medical and biomedical science students and provide supervision and research training for graduate students.
Applicants will hold a higher degree in a basic science and/or a medical qualification and will have (or be capable of attaining) international recognition for their research programme. The ability to organise and carry out undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervision and research training to the high standard required by the department and the college is also essential.
