About the Job
| Trader Media Group are seeking a talented and determined Data Analyst to join their Strategy Team in Manchester. Your role will be to support market research, analysis, forecasting, competitive intelligence gathering and a wide array of strategic projects / initiatives for the business.As a Data Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
• Monitoring, analysing and forecasting trends in both the automotive industry and the automotive classifieds market
• Identifying opportunities and risks in the market • Monitoring activities of major competitors, analysing their performance and identifying their strategies • Interpreting data and making recommendations on tactical business decisions • Producing high level KPI reports and analysis of the market and competitor activity • Clearly communicating findings to senior stakeholders in the business • Supporting the evaluation of new and evolving strategic opportunities |
| Required Experience |
| The successfull candidate in this role should have previous experience as a Data Analyst and will be able to demonstrate excellent analysis experience gained within a commercial environment. Practical experience of both primary and secondary intelligence gathering and analysis of large amounts of complex data is essential. Strong numeracy and attention to detail skills will also be pivotal to your success in this role, along with the ability to apply analysis methodologies, to interpret trends and then present findings in a clear and concise manner. Candiadtes should be educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally in one of the following disciplines: Business / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics related. You should have exceptional analytics and data modelling skills, be proficient in MS Office (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and will be a strong verbal and written communicator. |
| Salary & Benefits |
| We offer a competitive basic salary, in the region of £25,000 – £27,000 depending on experience. Other benefits include a fantastic company pension, 25 annual leave and an unrivalled host of other flexible benefits |
